Creating a credential

Credentials provide organization members the ability to configure authentication between various compute environments and the Tabular catalog.

Creating a credential

To create a credential, navigate to the My Profile tab by clicking on your name in the Profile Menu. Scroll towards the bottom of the profile page until you see a listing of all your credentials. Click Create Credential.

Enter a name for the credential and click Create.

Creating a service credential

A service credential enables a service to act on behalf of authenticated users.

Security Admins can create service credentials by navigating to Connections > Credentials. This page displays all the service credentials and member credentials for the organization. Click Create Service Credential.

Enter a name for the service credential and click Create.

Renaming a credential

To rename a credential, navigate to your Profile Page Scroll down to the My Credentials section and double-click the credential you wish to rename. When you’re done, click anywhere outside of the Credential Name box.

Deactivating a credential

To deactivate a credential, navigate to your Profile Page and use the Active toggle in the credentials grid.

Deleting a credential

Once a credential has been deactivated, you can delete the credential using the red Delete icon in the credentials grid.

To confirm your choice to delete the credential, at the prompt click Delete again.
